Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She received a B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis, a writer and American actor active in the theatre as well as television and film. She started her career as an actor in theater and then went on to make appearances in numerous TV series, mainstream and independent films. The actress gained prominence for her role as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. After that, she was able to make appearances on BET's acclaimed TV series The Book of Negroes. In 1995 she debuted in the role of Ariel on the stage as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film career is highlighted by her appearances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her most well-known role is her character on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
