Keesha Sharp
Tyler Perry's movie Why Did I Get Married includes her. Together with Perry and Janet Jackson as well as Indie movies Frozen Peas, and Born Guilty. Her other film credits are The 636 (for which she was awarded Best Actress in the 2014 NYLA International Film Festival), Shattered! Never Die Alone, American Adobo, and American Adobo. Cum Laude awarded Keesha a B.F.A. Keesha began her journey on stage after graduating from Cum Laude Conservatory with a B.F.A. She played in her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel and debuted Off Broadway as Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. Also, she performed 8 roles in the humorous Eat the Runt. Other theatre performances included Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha read alongside playwright August Wilson himself. Keesha's involvement includes directing the episodes of "Lethal Weapon", Are We There Yet?" and short films One Day Lillian and Half Off. Keesha has a variety of projects she's currently working on, including Clean The Brit & Broken Doll. Keesha is in the process of putting together her first full-length record following the success of her previous album "Santa Baby."
